“Many Nollywood Celebrities Are Struggling Financially” — Shine Rosman

Despite widespread public perception that Nollywood actors are financially buoyant, actress Shine Rosman has refuted that notion.

According to the thespian, during a recent podcast hosted by fellow actor Baaj Adebule, many actors in Nollywood are battling financial difficulties despite public perception suggesting otherwise.

She revealed that while a few entertainers may appear affluent, much of their income often comes from businesses and ventures outside the movie industry.

She explained that the assumption that every Nollywood actor is wealthy is largely exaggerated, noting that several performers are merely striving to stay afloat financially.

“The biggest misconception people have about Nollywood actors is that we are all rich,” she said. “Some actors are financially stable, but their earnings usually come from other ventures. A lot of people in the industry are actually struggling,” she revealed.
