Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde will on Friday 11th July, 2025 host the South-West caucus strategic meeting of the People’s Democratic Party in Ibadan to possibly fine-tune the way forward into the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The caucus meeting is scheduled to hold at the South-West Zonal Secretariat, Ibadan, Oyo State.
This was contained in a statement by the National Vice Chairman, South-West, Kamorudeen Ajisafe, on Tuesday.
According to him, those invited for the South-West Zonal Caucus meeting are the National Vice Chairman of the South-West Zone, who shall be the Chairman, and other members of the Zonal Working Committee.
Others include serving and former Presidents and Vice Presidents of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from the South-West Zone who are still members of the party.
The statement also listed those invited for the meeting as serving and former governors and deputy governors of the states in the South-West Zone.
Also to attend the meeting are serving and former members of the National Assembly from the South-West Zone produced by the Party who are still members of the Party.
Others are serving and former members of the National Executive Committee from the South-West Zone who are still members of the Party.
Meanwhile, an insider revealed to New National Star that, one of the main agendas is to throw open the issues of members who are willing to move from PDP to the African Democratic Congress.
Strategically, Chief Bode George has openly declared that, as a foundation member of the People’s Democratic Party, coupled with his age, he would not be ready to jump ship.
