    Mainasara Umar Honoured By Commonwealth Society of Nigeria

    Dr. Mainasara Umar Kugo, constitutional lawyer and New National Star Newspaper columnist bags the prestigious Commonwealth Society of Nigeria Humanitarian Ambassadorial Award for the year 2023.
    According to the organization, the nomination was as a result of the selection of the best out of the rest which entitles the recipient to the organization’s unending prestigious members rights and privileges such as, participation in the international meetings, like the Commonwealth Heads of Government People Forum, Commonwealth Heads of Government Women Forum, Commonwealth Heads Government Business Forum and Commonwealth Annual General Meetings (AGM).

    Other privileges are, Commonwealth High Commissioners Dinner, Commonwealth Human Rights Meetings, Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Youth Forum and Commonwealth Exchange of Programmes Meetings.

    While presenting the award, Prince Musa Abubakar, Secretary General of Commonwealth Society of Nigeria stated that the organization like other member nations play important roles in the world’s international peace, inter-religious cooperation and coexistence amongst nations through cultural and socio-cultural exchange programmes.

    In his sober reflection response, Dr. Umar Mainasara profusely thanked the organization for finding him worthy to join the league of successful Awardees of the prestigious Commonwealth Ambassadorial investiture for the 2023 edition and pledged his unflinching support and readiness to participate in the various activities of the organization.
