Frank Lampard, a former midfielder for Chelsea, is “closing in” on his next coaching role.
The Mirror claims that Lampard will be named Coventry’s new manager.
He will join Wayne Rooney of Manchester United in the Championship as a result of this deal.
Lampard has been unemployed since May 2023, when he served as Chelsea’s temporary manager for 11 games following Graham Potter’s dismissal.
Now, the 46-year-old is being considered to take over at Coventry.
Doug King, the owner of the Sky Blues, is rumored to be keen to introduce a well-known brand to the CBS Arena.
Mark Robins, who led Coventry from League Two to the Championship play-off final, has been fired.
The team is currently ranked 17th in the Championship standings.
