Kwara State University’s Institutional Repository (KWASU’S IR) has been listed on the African Digital Research Repositories.

The Institutional Repository is a significant digital component in the archival and provision of academic publication and information resources.

The University Librarian, Professor Abdulsalam Abiodun Salman, described the listing of KWASU on the African Digital Research Repositories as a positive development that would enhance the visibility of the institution and boost local and global rankings.

He added that the listing would improve access to research outputs and promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration while enriching the teaching and learning experience at the institution.

Professor Salman lauded the determination of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, whose proactiveness and support, he said, led to the establishment of the repository

Professor Salman expressed confidence that the KWASU IR would enhance research activities within and outside the University.

To get listed on African Digital Research Repositories, KWASU developed a rigorous submission and review process to ensure high-quality content, he added.
