The inaugural flight from General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport Ilorin for the 2024 Muslim pilgrimage will now be on Tuesday May 21.
Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board said in a statement on Sunday that the change in the date is from NAHCON/airlines owing to some delays in the initial plans.
Pilgrims from Kwara had initially been scheduled to have their first flight on Monday May 20, 2024.
“What this change means is that our pilgrims should not come to the camp today again as earlier announced. They should come tomorrow, Monday 20, ahead of their inaugural flight on Tuesday at 10:20am. This affects only the intending pilgrims whose names were earlier scheduled for the inaugural flight,” the statement said.
“Further information will be released to guide all our pilgrims and the general public. While this slight change is regretted, it is totally out of the control of the state pilgrims board or any local authorities.”
