William Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, has called on Nigerian youths to engage in meaningful dialogue with the Federal Government to drive socio-economic progress in the country. Kumuyi made this appeal on Wednesday while speaking to journalists at the Port Harcourt Airport.

Kumuyi was in the state for a six-day initiative organized by the Change Makers International Initiative (CMII), a non-religious, non-partisan movement focused on creating positive social impact in Nigeria. The program, titled “Driving Positive Change and Social Impact,” aims to foster transformation and improvement across various aspects of Nigerian society.

Kumuyi emphasized the importance of collective effort in addressing Nigeria’s well-documented social, economic, and moral challenges. He urged every individual, family, and institution to contribute to positive change, asserting that even small actions can collectively lead to significant improvements.

“We must all work together to effect the necessary changes; otherwise, the country will continue to suffer,” Kumuyi said. “If every individual, family, and institution strives to improve in their own spheres—whether at work, in colleges, or in everyday interactions—the nation will transform for the better.”

He stressed that instead of blaming others for past failures, the focus should be on creating constructive change and fostering a renewed sense of understanding and service. Kumuyi highlighted the need for cooperation between youth, government, and all sectors of society to strategize and achieve positive outcomes.

“Different people may have varying views on how to bring about change, but we must agree on a shared vision for progress,” Kumuyi noted. “By working together and respecting each other, we can address grievances and avoid destructive actions.”

Kumuyi also emphasized the importance of personal transformation, suggesting that changes in individual attitudes and mindsets can lead to broader societal improvements. He likened this process to a ripple effect, where small positive actions can lead to widespread change.

“When each of us shines our light, we contribute to a brighter and better world,” he concluded.
