‘This Is Your Govt, It Has No Godfather’ – Gov. Otti Tells Abia Residents

    Published on

The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has asserted that his administration belongs to the people of the state, not to any political godfather.

Reports stated that Otti made this remark while speaking to residents of the state in a video making the rounds online.

Governor Otti maintained that Abia state does not have a political godfather, stressing that his administration was brought by God.

According to him, his administration has no choice but to work for the masses, saying, “We have no choice than to work for our people. We are just starting.”

Otti also promised that the masses would witness more infrastructural development.

Meanwhile, Otti recently berated some members of the state opposition, denying his administration credit for achievements because he is not a member of their party.

According to reports, Otti, who was speaking at a reception organised for the Attorney-General of Abia State, Ikechukwu Uwanna, SAN, at Isuikwuato on Saturday, said true Igbos are not known for being dishonest.

He said those crediting the roads he constructed to other administrations should have their identity checked to determine if they are truly Igbos.

Otti maintained that his administration is focused on doing more for the people of the state, and that it is the only way to respond to criticism from the opposition.
