Members of the Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area (LGA), Kogi State, have commended Governor Ahmed Ododo, for prioritizing the welfare of workers in the state.
They commended the governor for his people’s friendly policies, including the prompt payment of salaries, assuring him of their support, saying that his administration has supposed their expectations in the area of service delivery among others.
They appealed to appealed to the governor to facilitate the relocation of the Obaro’s palace to its original ground.
Speaking on their behalf to Newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, their leader, who doubles as the Baale (Ward Head) of Odo Ero, Chief Ayodele Okono, said they were ready to mobilize all and sundry in support of the governor.
According to him: “As a coordinator, I am commending our amiable governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, for taking care of workers in Kogi State, by paying the salaries of workers without percentages. That is why myself and others commend him for his performance.
“Ododo has been taking care of the welfare of the whole of Kogi State, and has therefore performed more than his boss, Yahaya Bello.
“We request Ododo to quickly return the ancient Obaro palace to its Central Owe land, and not outside. If he can do that, we are even more willing to follow him to the last extent.
“He is already working on the Obangede-Ihima to Isuan Junction roads in Okene, which is a welcome development. The bridge between Obangede and Owiefe almost collapsed, but Ododo has come to the rescue of the people.
“We commend Ododo for the various appointments he has made, including those of the secretary for the local government and that of permanent secretary.
“Essentially, I advise Ahmed Usman Ododo to quickly return the Obaro to ancient palace, which is the mainstream of Owe land, and not the outskirts. This was endorsed by Bello (former governo
