    Kogi Commissioner donates N1million for erosion control

    The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo has donated the sum of one million naira to Ayede Amuro Community to fix the erosion site affecting the community.

    Fanwo made the donation while Campaigning for the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
    He said that the gesture is in line with the “Yahaya Bello spirit to address challenges faced by rural communities” adding that rural communities must align with the ruling party to attract development.

    “My community is faced with challenges of rural communities. We must come together to align with the Government at the centre and at the State Government level to attract development.

    “I am releasing with immediate effect, a personal donation of one million naira to fix the erosion problem here. We can’t allow our people to continue to face hardship due to these kinds of ecological problems”.

    The Information Commissioner also said the Orokere-Ayede-Takete Ide road has been approved by the State Government and work will soon start on the road, calling those who are campaigning for the opposition parties as enemies of the welfare of rural people.

    “We have succeeded in ensuring the Kogi State Executive Council gives approval to the Orokere-Ayede-Takete Ide road and work will start before the end of this year. We want to thank the Executive Governor for considering us for such a huge project.

    “We also thank the State Government for grading our royal stools in such a historic manner and also the ongoing renovation of the Government Day Secondary School, Takete Ide. We will express our gratitude on November 11 by voting massively for the All Progressives Congress”.

    Fanwo also used the occasion to announce the payment of almost half a billion naira to offset WAEC registration for all Kogi students in public schools, saying the gesture has been institutionalised to help indigent students.

    Also at the campaign rallies, the Deputy Director General for the Campaigns (Kogi West), Hon. Funsho Olumoko urged the people of Mopamuro to vote enmasse for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, saying Kogi is better with APC.

    Some of the stalwarts at the rallies are the APC Zonal Chairman, Hon. Dare Anjorin; Kogi State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Adesayo Ismail; SA to the Governor on Water Resources, Hon. Ipinmisho; Member Representing Mopamuro Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olawumi Jacob and the Executive Chairman of Mopamuro LGA, Hon. Moses Sunday David, among many others.

    The rallies witnessed massive turnout and assurances from political leaders and their supporters to vote for the APC Governorship Candidate 8n the November 11 Governoship election.
