The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is gearing up to announce the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, will host a press briefing in Abuja on Monday to disclose the outcome of the examination and address related matters. A notice circulated to journalists in the capital city, shared by the Board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed this development.

However, it’s worth noting that the results set to be released on Monday may pertain to candidates who participated in the UTME during the initial days of the examination period. Results for other candidates are expected to follow suit after the completion of “due diligence.”

JAMB had previously announced a delay in releasing the results to allow ample time for thorough scrutiny. This decision was aimed at ensuring the credibility and integrity of the results by addressing potential issues such as impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractice.

Over 1.9 million candidates registered for the 2024 UTME, which took place across more than 700 Computer-Based Test centers nationwide. The examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19, 2024, is set to conclude today.

As candidates await the release of their results, the JAMB press briefing on Monday is expected to provide clarity on the examination process, address concerns, and shed light on the outcome of the UTME.
