Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State have reaffirmed their commitment to adopting consensus arrangements in line with the peace and unity initiative championed by Governor Uba Sani ahead of the forthcoming party primary elections across the country.

The resolution was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Executive Chairman of Jaba Local Government, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, where party leaders emphasized the need for unity, peaceful dialogue, and collective action to strengthen the APC in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku commended Governor Uba Sani for what she described as outstanding leadership and delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Jaba Local Government.

According to her, the governor has promoted peaceful coexistence among religious groups, traditional institutions, communities, and political actors across the state.

She also praised the peaceful conduct of the APC ward, local government, state, zonal, and national congresses, noting that the emergence of party leaders through consensus arrangements reflected the unity and internal cohesion within the party.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation, Hon. Benjamin Kure, stressed the importance of consensus building, saying the stakeholders’ position demonstrated the collective resolve of APC members in Jaba Local Government to place party discipline and harmony above personal interests.

He stated that stakeholders remained united in support of Governor Uba Sani’s leadership, which he described as critical to sustaining unity, stability, and progress within the APC.

During the meeting, the stakeholders unanimously endorsed the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, Rt. Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji, and Hon. Zakariah Henry Marah ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Former Executive Chairman of Jaba Local Government and former Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Thot Dogo, also addressed the gathering, urging party members to avoid divisive rhetoric and focus on mobilizing support for the APC’s broader agenda in Jaba Local Government, Kaduna State, and Nigeria at large.

In his closing remarks, the stakeholders’ chairman, Mr. Joseph Dogo, called on party loyalists and leaders to remain steadfast and proactive in engaging both registered and prospective members of the party at the grassroots level.

He urged stakeholders to continue showcasing the achievements of Governor Uba Sani while effectively communicating the governor’s vision and policies to the people ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting was attended by over one hundred APC stakeholders from across Jaba Local Government Area.
