In his Independence Day message, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed optimism about overcoming the current challenges facing Nigeria, stating that “there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”

Governor Bago acknowledged the difficult times the country is experiencing but emphasized that governments at all levels are making significant efforts to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians and stabilize the economy. He urged citizens to deepen their prayers for the nation’s peace and prosperity.

“The nation is indeed going through a difficult time at the moment,” he said, attributing the prevailing economic hardships to various factors. “We encourage the people to strengthen their faith in God, as the government is working tirelessly to address these issues.”

He further reassured the people of Niger State that his administration is committed to securing lives and livelihoods while pursuing the New Niger agenda for the benefit of all.

In preparation for the October 1st Independence Day celebrations, the Niger State Police Command has deployed a sufficient number of personnel and operational assets to ensure public safety and order. Commissioner of Police Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman directed law enforcement officials to enhance police visibility to prevent any potential disturbances during the festivities.
