    Ilkay Gundogan Returns to Manchester City from Barcelona

    On August 23, 2024, Ilkay Gundogan announced his return to Manchester City, calling it the “best club in the world.” Gundogan re-signed with City from Barcelona, where he had spent the past season.

    During his initial tenure at Manchester City from 2016 to 2023, Gundogan won five Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, among other major trophies. His return marks a significant moment for City fans, as he re-joins a team with which he achieved substantial success.
