Heirs Energies, a leading force in Africa’s energy sector, is set to host the 2025 Heirs Energies Leadership Forum: Industry Leaders Discourse (ILD) on Thursday, 20 February 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. This exclusive event will bring together government leaders, CEOs from global energy companies, and key industry innovators to explore solutions and strategies for boosting Nigeria’s oil production.

Themed “Nigeria’s Oil Production Growth Roadmap – Acceleration Imperatives,” the forum will feature a distinguished group of speakers, including Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil); Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC); Adewale Adeyemo-Bero, Chairman of the OPEC Board of Governors and CEO of First E&P; and Roger Brown, CEO of Seplat Energy Plc. The session will be moderated by Osayande Igiehon, CEO of Heirs Energies.

With Nigeria aiming to increase its oil production to 2.1 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2025 and 2.7 million bpd by 2027, the forum will address critical challenges in the sector. Key topics will include the role of Nigerian Independent Companies (NICs) and the ongoing transition from International Oil Companies (IOCs) to local operators. The forum will also focus on strategies for overcoming challenges, fostering innovation, and accelerating growth in the oil sector.

“We can no longer wait for the future of Nigeria’s energy sector — it starts now,” said Osayande Igiehon, CEO of Heirs Energies. “By working together, we can tackle obstacles, unlock investment, and create sustainable solutions that propel both the oil industry and the nation forward.”

The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:30 PM, followed by a panel discussion at 6:00 PM, and conclude with an exclusive networking dinner. To ensure broader participation, the forum will be livestreamed by Arise News and TVC.
