    Group lauds DSS DG, Ajayi For Cracking Down On Terrorist Leaders

    The Bloggers and Vloggers, Content Creators Association of Nigeria (BAVCCA) has praised the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, for his relentless efforts in apprehending high-profile terrorist leaders.

    In a statement by its President, Ikechukwu Chukwunyere on Monday in Abuja, BAVCCA celebrated Ajayi’s leadership as a beacon of hope in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism.

    Chukwunyere highlighted Ajayi’s strategic approach, stating, “DG Ajayi’s ‘silent but effective’ leadership has delivered monumental victories against terrorism, reflecting a commitment to results over recognition.” The DSS, under Ajayi’s command, has achieved remarkable successes, including: the arrest of Abubakar Abba, notorious leader of the Mahmuda terror group, in Niger State.

    “As well as the capture of Mahmud Muhammad Usman, alias Abu Bara’a, and his Chief of Staff, Mahmud al-Nigeri, alias Mallam Mamuda, key figures in the Ansaru terrorist faction.

    The statement also referenced Ajayi’s past successes, including the 2009 rescue of Canadian hostage Julie Ann Mulligan in Kaduna, which showcased his quiet resolve and operational efficiency.

    BAVCCA called for increased government support for the DSS through enhanced funding and resources to sustain these gains.
    Chukwunyere emphasized, “DG Ajayi and his operatives are the silent guardians of Nigeria’s future, and their sacrifices underpin our nation’s security.”
