The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has praised Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for his personal financial intervention in rehabilitating a long-neglected road in Ndi-Orieke, Ohafia Local Government Area.

In a statement, COSEYL described the senator’s efforts as a remarkable demonstration of commitment to his constituents. The group highlighted that the road, which had remained impassable for decades, is now undergoing rehabilitation through Kalu’s direct funding.

“At a time when many political leaders are criticized for being disconnected from their constituents, Senator Kalu stands out as a beacon of hope and integrity,” the statement read. “His willingness to use his own resources for the good of the people proves that public service is not just about policies and legislation but about making real, tangible improvements in the lives of citizens.”

COSEYL emphasized that Kalu’s actions have set a new standard for selfless leadership in the region. The youth group, speaking on behalf of the people of Abia North, expressed gratitude for his contributions and pledged to support initiatives that foster meaningful development in the South East.

The group also encouraged other public officials to follow Kalu’s example by prioritizing the welfare of their constituents and implementing impactful projects that directly benefit communities.
