    Gov. Sule replaces Nassarawa Eggon LG Commissioner nominee, sends names of NASIEC, LGSC members to Assembly for Confirmation

    Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has sent the name of Ibrahim Uthman Angbolo as Commissioner nominee to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to replace the nomination of Haruna Musa as member of the State Executive Council.

    Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced this during an emergency sitting of the House in Lafia today Thursday.

    The Speaker said that the nomination of Angbolo as Commissioner nominee followed the indisposition of Haruna Musa during the screening of the 17 commissioner nominees sent to the House by Gov. Sule.

    ” If you will recall during the screening of 17 Commissioner nominees sent to this House by His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule for screening and possible Confirmation.

    ” We were informed by the Deputy Speaker of the House that a commissioner nominee from Nassarawa Eggon LGA, Haruna Musa was indisposed.

    ” The Governor sent this nominee to enable us screen and confirm him so that Nassarawa Eggon Local government will have a representative in the state executive council,” he said.

    The Speaker said that appointment of Angbolo was based on his proven antecedence, experience and commitment to the progress of the state.

    The Speaker of the House directed the nominee to submit 30 copies of his Curriculum Vitae (CV) before the closure of the working day today Thursday and to appear for screening tommorow, Friday, August 25, 2023 by 10am

    In a related develoemt, Nasarawa State House of Assembly has recieved names of members of Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) and Local Government Service Commission from Gov. Abdullahi Sule for screening and confirmation.

    The Speaker said that Gov. Sule sought the confirmation of Aliyu Mohammed Gayam from Lafia LGA and Hon Samuel Tsebe from Akwanga LGA as Permanent Members of NASIEC.

    The Speaker also said that the Governor sought the confirmation of Abdullahi Umar Waziri from Doma LGA ( re- appointment) and Mustapha Abdullahi Aliyu from Awe LGA(re-appointment) as Permanent Members of the Local Government Service Commission.

    The Speaker directed the nominees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) before the closure of the working day today and to appear for screening tommorow, Friday, August 25, 2023 by 10am.
