    Gov. Bello signs 2024 Kogi budget proposal,3 other bills into law

    KOGI State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has signed into law the 2024 appropriation bill of 258 billion naira into law.

    While signing the appropriation bill and three other bills at the Executive Chambers, Government House Lokoja, the Governor noted that the bill tagged Budget of Consolidation and Continuity for Inclusive Growth would further make Kogi to attain greater heights.

    He appreciated the expeditious passage of the appropriation bill by the Assembly saying that the incoming administration would ensure implementation with little difficulty.

    The Governor applauded the Speaker and state Assembly members for the diligence done to the 2024 budget.

    Presenting the 2024 budget for accent, Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf explained that the Assembly diligently considered the budget and interfaced with all the MDAs so as to ensure that it reflected the interest of the citizens.

    The Speaker thanked his colleagues for their commitment to the exercise noting that the legislature would continue to work in synergy with the executive arm to deliver good governance to the people.

    Other Bills accented to by the Kogi State Governor are the bill to repel and reenact the state Local Government law, 2000, the bill establishing the Kogi state oil producing Areas development commission (KOSOPADEC), and Bill reenacting the Kogi state college of Nursing Sciences and other matters connected therewith.
