Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, met with Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, over the weekend at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House in Makurdi.
The meeting, which the governor shared via his official Facebook page on Sunday night, was part of the “Induction Dinner and Official Unveiling of a New Phase of Leadership, Creativity, and Community Impact,” which 2Face attended alongside his new wife.
Governor Alia described the occasion as a fusion of “talent, passion, and purpose,” highlighting the unveiling of the 1 Voice Benue Manifesto, which he referred to as a rallying call for unity, innovation, and positive societal change.
He noted that the event was further distinguished by the presence of some of Benue’s top figures in the entertainment industry, showcasing the rich creative spirit of the state.
“From music, film, and comedy to fashion and performance, Benue’s creative scene demonstrated its readiness to lead and inspire,” the governor stated.
He expressed pride in standing alongside the state’s youth and creatives, reaffirming his commitment to building a brighter future for Benue. “This is just the beginning,” he added.
It’s worth noting that 2Face was recently appointed by Governor Alia as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
