Good governance: Kano govt pledges stronger partnership with CSOs

    Published on

The Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment to build a stronger, more harmonious relationship with civil society organisations (CSOs), as part of its drive to entrench good governance and active citizen participation.

Governor Abba Kabir made the pledge at the opening of a two-day Kano State Civil Society Conference, organised by the Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs, in Kano.

Kabir, represented by his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam, described civil society as a vital watchdog in ensuring transparency and accountability.

He urged CSOs to remain dedicated, avoid corruption and shun sentiments in the course of their daily activities.

Kabir noted that the conference offered a unique platform for government officials, academics and civil society actors to exchange ideas on moving the state forward.
