Fuji icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has expressed concerns over the economic hardships faced by Nigerians and urged President Bola Tinubu to address the pressing issues. The musician, who is known for his support of the President, conveyed his message in a Yoruba language video during a recent stage performance.

K1’s plea follows his daughter Dami Ayinde’s earlier remarks on social media, where she criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for not fulfilling its promises to the Nigerian people. The economic challenges escalated after the new administration took office on May 29, 2023, with President Tinubu announcing the end of fuel subsidies, leading to a significant increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit.

In the video, K1 acknowledged Tinubu’s philanthropic efforts but emphasized the widespread suffering, citing issues such as power shortages, currency depreciation against the dollar, and the surge in kidnapping incidents. He urged the President to listen to the grievances of the citizens and take prompt action to address their concerns before the opposition exploits the situation.

While expressing concern for the traders and the unfavorable exchange rate, K1 called on Tinubu to tackle these challenges promptly. Despite the hardships, he urged Nigerians to exercise patience, assuring them that the government would work towards resolving the issues. Additionally, K1 called out those profiting from the suffering of the masses, urging them to reconsider their actions.

The musician, known for his past support and participation in Tinubu’s 2023 presidential election campaign, delivered a candid message calling for swift action to alleviate the economic difficulties faced by Nigerians.
