    FRENCH EMBASSY HOSTS DG CYMS IN STRATEGIC DIPLOMATIC MEETING

    The Director General, Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS), Chief Obinna Nwaka, recently paid a strategic working visit to the French Embassy in Nigeria where he met with Dr. Bertrand De Seissan, the Embassy’s Political Counsellor.

    The high-level meeting focused on strengthening diplomatic ties between Nigeria and France, particularly through grassroots governance engagement to involve in the forthcoming CYMS National Conference in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), which a report of previous conference was also presented to the French Political Counselor.

    Both parties explored innovative ways to enhance productivity, promote youth involvement in governance, and foster peaceful coexistence across communities.

    During the engagement, Chief Obinna expressed profound appreciation to the French Embassy for its warm reception and continuous support. He described the encounter as “awesome,” noting that the encouragement given to him and the CYMS would not be taken for granted.

    He reiterated CYMS’ commitment to deepening partnerships that empower citizens and strengthen democratic participation, especially among young people.

    The meeting is expected to open new avenues for collaboration between CYMS and the French Embassy, further cementing bilateral efforts toward sustainable development and peace building in Nigeria.
