Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has expressed his desire to fight Anthony Joshua in a boxing bout following his showdown with Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia. Ngannou made the transition from UFC to boxing and has been in talks for fights against Deontay Wilder and Joshua.

While Ngannou is set to face Tyson Fury, he has already set his sights on a potential rematch and a bout against Joshua. He stated, “I think if I am victorious, we are going to run it back, for sure. Then maybe see Anthony Joshua after.”

However, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has downplayed the possibility of a crossover fight between Joshua and Ngannou. Hearn expressed doubts about Ngannou’s ability to go the distance in a boxing match, suggesting that MMA fighters like Ngannou are not accustomed to the pace and style of professional boxing. Hearn indicated that Fury could easily dominate the fight and stop Ngannou, and that Ngannou lacks the boxing skills to compete.

It remains to be seen how Ngannou’s foray into professional boxing will unfold, but his ambition to face top heavyweight boxers like Joshua and Fury demonstrates his determination to make a mark in the sport.
