    Federal Government Declares Public Holiday for Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration

    The Federal Government has officially declared Monday, September 16, 2024, a public holiday to celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who extended warm congratulations to the Muslim community both within Nigeria and across the globe.

    In his statement, Dr. Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of the occasion, urging the Muslim Ummah, along with all Nigerians, to embrace values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience. He highlighted the need for unity and collective strength during these times.
