Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, a forward with the Falconets, has officially joined the San Diego Wave of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Okwuchukwu left Rivers Angels of the Nigeria Women’s Premier League to join San Diego Wave.

    The 19-year-old committed to a one-year deal.

After completing a medical and receiving her P1 Visa, International Transfer Certificate, and ITC, the striker will be added to the Wave’s roster.

When Nigeria’s Falconets competed in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Okwuchukwu attracted attention.

She participated in all four of Falconets’ games, contributing one assist and two goals.
