Blessing Agbomhere, a gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has called on residents to reject the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Governor Godwin Obaseki, citing alleged failures in delivering essential services to the citizens.

Agbomhere, who serves as the South-South Zonal Organising Secretary of the APC, accused Obaseki of falling short in providing basic amenities to the people of the state. In a statement released on Wednesday, he pledged that the APC would enhance the social and economic well-being of the state, urging residents to cast their votes in favor of the party in the upcoming governorship election.

The aspirant promised a return to economic progress and infrastructural transformation reminiscent of the tenure of Adams Oshiomhole, should he be given the opportunity to lead the state.

Agbomhere’s statement emphasized, “I want to urge the people of the state not to fall for the antics of the governor who has failed the people. He has failed to provide them with the basic necessities of life. The people should reject him, his deputy, and his party. Edo residents should ensure the return of the APC to Osadebey House.”

He expressed concern over the current state of affairs in Edo, attributing it to what he described as uncoordinated and vision-less leadership provided by Governor Obaseki and his deputy over the past seven and a half years. Agbomhere concluded by asserting that, if elected, his administration would revive the growth and development initiated during the tenure of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
