As Christians around the world commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Dr. Solomon Arase, retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Police Service Commission, has urged for a national rebirth in light of the current economic and security challenges facing Nigeria.

In a statement, Dr. Arase emphasized the need for Christians to utilize this occasion to pray for a new Nigeria and support the government’s determined efforts in ensuring the security of lives and properties across the nation.

“Let’s use this time to reflect on what binds us together rather than those things that divide us,” stated the PSC Chairman, emphasizing the importance of unity in overcoming the nation’s obstacles.

Dr. Arase also called for patriotism and sacrifice, drawing a parallel to Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for the redemption of mankind. He urged the staff of the Commission and members of the Nigeria Police Force to recommit themselves to the service of the country, highlighting that Nigeria is a blessed nation that is gradually regaining its glory.

As Easter approaches, Dr. Arase prayed that the spirit of the season would inspire a new beginning of happiness, prosperity, and abundance for all Nigerians.

The call for national rebirth and unity amidst challenges serves as a timely reminder for citizens to come together and work towards a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
