    CYMS hails Walson-Jack’s Civil Service Leadership, Applauds President’s Choice

    The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) has lauded the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, for what it described as a year of impactful leadership and reform-driven service in Nigeria’s public sector.

    In a statement issued Thursday 14th August 2025 in Abuja and signed by its Director General, Chief Obinna Nwaka, the CYMS praised Walson-Jack’s commitment to the transformation of the civil service, while also expressing appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing her to what it called a “strategic and well-deserved” position.

    Mrs. Walson-Jack marked the milestone with a Thanksgiving message themed “A Year of Purposeful Service,” in which she recounted progress achieved since her appointment and reaffirmed her vision for a modern, citizen-focused civil service.

    “Today marks a significant milestone in my stewardship as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation,” she said. “One year ago, I was entrusted with the sacred responsibility to lead our great Service… to serve the Federal Republic of Nigeria with integrity, dedication, and vision.”

    Her address highlighted the advancement of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025 (FCSSIP 25), which aligns with the government’s EPIC vision — Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible, and Citizen-Centred service.

    In addition, she embarked on a symbolic “Thank You Tour” of ministries and departments at the Federal Secretariat, acknowledging the contributions of civil servants whom she described as “the lifeblood of governance.” also was the free medical program within the premises which was also observed by the leadership of the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) during thier visit.

    Walson-Jack expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Tinubu for the confidence reposed in her leadership, and also extended appreciation to Permanent Secretaries, civil service stakeholders, and her family for their support.

    “As we enter a new chapter, I urge everyone to remain steadfast. Let us work not for titles, but for enduring legacies; not for self, but for service,” she stated.

    She ended her remarks with a pledge to continue leading with fairness, humility, and dedication to a Service that “future generations will inherit with pride.” also thanking all concerned Nigerians, groups and well wishers who came around to celebrate her.

    Lastly, according to Chief Obinna Nwaka, concluded by describing her as a mother, motivational tool to girl child and a lover of the youth whose character and open door policy as a Civil Servant is worthy of emulation, he was accompanied by Hajia Baiyee Aisha, Director Finance, Hon Kelechi Ugwumba, Contacts and Mobilization, Dr Umma Sani Adamu, Director Gender and Humanitarian, Ms Amarah Joseph, Engr Kenneth Omeiza etc

    The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) is an evaluation body recognized by the Presidency assisting in Sensitization, mobilization and promotion of policies and programmes of the Federal government whose other mandates include good governance, facilitation of empowerment and promotion of peaceful coexistence among the Youth.
