    CSR: Tantita donates transit accommodation to Nigerian Army

    The Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has donated a befitting Transit Accommodation to the 3 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

    The remodeled and reconstructed edifice was handed over to the Nigerian Army on Tuesday in Effurun in colourful ceremony.

    Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited is a private pipeline surveillance outfit owned by High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo.

    The company is engaged by the Federal Government to secure oil and gas assets.

    Speaking at the event, Chief Kestin Pondi, the Managing Director of TSSNL said that the project was just a way to appreciate the Nigerian Army.

    The managing director who was represented by Capt. Warriedi Enisuoh, the Executive Director, Operation, Technical of the TSSNL acknowledged the role of the government security forces in the successful operations of the Tantita.

    According to him, the task for the TSSNL to have successfully
    protect crude oil theft would not have been easy without the support of the military.

    “As a private security company, we are not allowed to hold arms, that is why we rely on the government security forces.

    “Over time, a lot of them have sacrifice their lives while trying to make sure we live.

    “This project is a holding facilities for troops on transfer. To make them feel comfortable,” he said.

    Pondi said that the contract of the company was based on its performance adding that the government security forces had been very supportive.

    He said that the chairman and other top management of the company had resolved that any project that worth supporting the development of the environment should be pursued with a vigour.

    “I promised that we will continue to stand by the government security forces as long as they stood by us.

    “This is the begining of the greater partnership and more good things to come,” he said.

    In his remark, Maj. Gen. Jamal Abdussalam, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division of the Nigerian Army thanked Tantita for the laudable gesture.

    Abdussalam noted that the project would benefit the Unit, Brigade and by extension the Nigerian Army.

    He said that the initiative was in line with the philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) adding that the accommodation would help to address the critical needs of the troops.

    “The transit accommodation represents a remarkable milestone as it addresses the critical needs of our troops.

    “The project highlights the impactful discourse of Corporate Social Responsibilities in the spirit of jointness.

    “I am aware of the enormous resources Tantita committed to the project. The project shows that our bond transcend operational synergy in the field.

    “Thank you so much for complementing the effort of the Nigerian Army in improving the welfare of personnel.

    “I urged you to also look at other baracks in our areas of responsibilities and extend the goodwill to them.,” he said.

    Abdussalam said that the accommodation would go a long way in lifting the spirit of the personnel and urged then to put project into good use and maintenance.

    The fully furnished project had a total of 68 rooms, 18 toilets and bathrooms and three central kitchens and among other facilities inside the barack.
