As Christians in Nigeria joined their counterparts across the globe to celebrate this year’s Christmas, Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi , has identified with them on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ.

A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna quotes the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi as describing the day as unique and special among Christians, hence the need for it to be used for sober reflection.

The Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen enjoined believers to use the period to extend hands of friendship to the less privileged ones in the society to give them sense of belonging and improve on their standard of living.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi called on Christians and other Nigerians to use the period and pray fervently for the success of next year’s general election.

He also enjoined Nigerians to always pray and support their leaders at all levels to succeed as well as remain committed to constituted authorities for peace and progress of the society.
