Care365 Mobile Clinics and Monitoring Kiosks have been deployed to Nnamdi Azikiwe University for the commencement of a pilot programme aimed at expanding access to on-campus healthcare services.
The development was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen by Dr. Ngozi Joseph Odumuko, Chief Executive Officer of Care365 and SiliconHub.
According to the statement, the deployment marks the beginning of immediate pilot operations following formal approval by the Chairman of Care365 and SiliconHub, former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar.
The initiative is designed to test the integration of mobile healthcare delivery systems within a university environment, combining clinical services with digital monitoring kiosks intended to support basic health assessments, data collection, and referral coordination.
Dr. Odumuko described the movement of the facilities to the university campus as a milestone in the organisation’s rollout plan, noting that it reflects sustained effort and preparation by the team behind the project.
The statement emphasised that the pilot phase is expected to evaluate operational efficiency, user engagement, and service delivery models before broader deployment.
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, one of Nigeria’s federal tertiary institutions, will serve as the initial testing ground for the healthcare technology initiative.
The pilot is expected to focus on student and staff access to primary healthcare services, early health monitoring, and real-time health data capture through the kiosks.
While detailed operational guidelines for the pilot were not disclosed, the deployment signals an increasing interest in technology-driven healthcare solutions within institutional settings, particularly in addressing gaps in on-site medical support in higher education environments.
Care365 and SiliconHub indicated that findings from the pilot phase will guide future scaling decisions and possible expansion to other institutions and communities, depending on outcomes and system performance.
The announcement also highlighted internal satisfaction among project stakeholders regarding progress made so far, with the CEO noting that the initiative reflects sustained commitment and coordination among partners involved in its development.
