The Nigerian entertainment industry is drowning in grief following the death of Victor Tobechukwu Okoli, popularly known as Vic Matt, the manager of Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Bright.

This sad development is the latest tragedy after the show lost a crew member. Vic Matt, who was also an executive producer and film director, was reportedly abducted last Friday around Ntachi Osa in Enugu state.

Days after his disappearance, the heartbreaking news of his death filtered through, leaving friends, colleagues, and fans reeling.

Confirming the sad development, filmmaker Ben Cassie took to Instagram to pen a tribute to the late creative. She wrote in part: “It is hard for some of us to see those who genuinely wish us well. In an industry of snakes and scorpions, you stood different. You only wanted to make good films. To be kidnapped and killed is such a heart-wrenching way to leave this earth,” The tribute has since gone viral, resonating with many who admired Vic Matt’s calmness, integrity, and unwavering support for young filmmakers.
