Nollywood actress Bamike Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bambam, has given relationship advice, saying they should keep their bed undefiled. Speaking on the Echo Room podcast hosted by her husband, Tope “Teddy A” Adenibuyan, Bambam encouraged couples to wait until marriage before being intimate. The actress disclosed that their love story, which blossomed into marriage after the birth of their first child, was far from a “fairy tale.”
She admitted that at some point, they both questioned whether their marriage was truly the will of God, as differences and personal growth brought clashes into their relationship. She stated: “I began to evolve as a woman, and he too was discovering himself. Our differences started to clash, and many times we asked ourselves why we were even here. But I held on to God and His promises for my marriage. I will advise anyone dating, you can keep sex out of the relationship till you are sure of getting married. Just do it. That’s what the scripture says — keep the bed undefiled. Then, before marriage, seek counselling. Ensure that you are emotionally, physically, and mentally stable.”
The actress explained that counselling, therapy, and prayer played a crucial role in helping them navigate the difficulties of marriage. According to her, Teddy A’s decision to surrender his life to Christ became a turning point in their relationship as it made things easier and strengthened their bond. She also spoke about how she keeps her career separate from her family life. She admitted that her acting style is designed to look believable, but once the director calls “cut,” she immediately switches back to her role as a wife and mother.
