    Ayra Starr, first female Nigerian musician to reach one billion views on YouTube

    The first Nigerian singer to reach one billion views on YouTube is Ayra Starr.

    She now holds the record for the most views of any female YouTube performer, surpassing even Yemi Alade.

    According to reports, the 23-year-old singer achieved 1 billion views, surpassing Alade’s previous record of 805 million.

    With over 450 million views, Ayra Starr’s Grammy-nominated smash single “Rush” topped the platform’s view count.

    The singer now has more than one billion views on YouTube, joining her male counterparts Burna Boy, Flavour, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, Ckay, Kizz Daniel, P-Square, Omah Lay, Fireboy, and Tekno with this new career achievement.
