In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2024, the Firefighters Outreach Project, in collaboration with the Female Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Network International, is championing the cause for free education and medical treatment for Nigerians. The initiative aims to address economic hardships, with a particular focus on empowering women and fostering inclusivity.

The foundation organized a two-day outreach program in Abuja, where they distributed food items to the vulnerable at the FACADO Orphanage home. Additionally, educational materials were provided to secondary students. Miriam Virgo, the Founder and CEO of the Firefighters Outreach Project, expressed her motivation to give back to Nigerian society after witnessing children begging for alms along the streets.

Aligned with the theme of the 2024 International Women’s Day, the foundation seeks to tackle economic disempowerment and promote inclusion. In further support of their mission, they donated food items to widows in the Chika community near Abuja city center.

Miriam Virgo emphasized the need to address the economic challenges faced by Nigerians, advocating for assistance to ensure children can access education with proper funding and receive necessary medical treatment.

Mrs. Ngozi Anih George, representing the FACADO Orphanage Home, highlighted the escalating costs of school fees, fuel, electricity, and other expenses. She appealed to the public, Nigerians, and philanthropists for support in providing education, food, and healthcare to the children under their care.

The Female Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Network International, represented by its Founder, Mrs. Anne Marie, shared its mission to eradicate poverty, particularly for women and the disadvantaged. The organization aims to address poverty sustainably, focusing on women and cultural empowerment. The collective efforts of these groups underscore the significance of community engagement and support in fostering positive change.
