The Tanimu Turaki-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP faction  has presented certificates of return to its candidates for 2027  National Assembly and plateau  State House of  Assembly elections in the state
Speaking at the event held at the party’s state secretariat  in Jos, the  governorship candidate, Hon. Sunday Garba Biggs, allayed the fears of members over the fate of the party, saying that the PDP would definitely be on the ballot in the 2027 general elections.
The State Chairman of the party, Chief Raymond Dabo, expressed hope that the party would reclaim the governorship seat in 2027 and enjoined the candidates to conduct themselves in line with the tenets of the party, assuring them of total support of the party.
“Now that you have emerged as our candidates, let me assure you that you will not go into this battle alone. We were all raised in a political family where hard work was never a complication.
“You will have the full support of the party. You will have the support of the people of Plateau State. And indeed, you will also have the support of our presidential candidate”.
Dabo particularly tasked local government area Chairmen of the party on commitment describing them as foot soldiers of the party.
“Local government party chairmen, this is your assignment, and you must deliver. Nobody will do the work for us. The symbol of authority belongs to the leaders, but the real work belongs to all of us”
Further more,  the party’s governorship candidate, Brigss said
“We received serious admonition from the National Chairman, Saminu Turaki, SAN, and he shed considerable light on the happenings within the PDP. He assured us that the PDP will definitely be on the ballot in 2027.
“We are all aware of the efforts being made by the national leadership of the party. The Board of Trustees has gone to court to obtain orders compelling INEC to obey the judgments of both the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
“I understand that the matter comes up tomorrow, so I urge all of us to keep our ears to the ground and pay close attention to what happens. It will be a very significant hearing, and important developments are expected”, he concluded
