The Rivers State Police Command has invited the former Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo for questioning over an alleged plot to assassinate the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
The police invited Danagogo following a leaked phone conversation with an arrested suspect.
Although the police invitation letter sighted did not indicate the reason for the invitaion, an anonymous source who wished not to be named claimed that it was in connection with a leaked phone conversation alleging a conversation to that effect.
Our source alleged, “Danagogo and Pastor Tombari were talking about the plot to invite Israelis to come and kill the Minister.

“The leaked phone conversation is with the police and he has been invited for questioning.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringo Koko to confirm the report, she promised to confirm and get back.
“Let me confirm and I will get back to you,” she said.
The Police had earlier arrested Tombari Joseph Gbeneol, a Port Harcourt–based pastor, over an alleged plan to assassinate Wike.
Gbeneol’s arrest came after authorities intercepted a phone call between him and one Danagogo.
During the monitored conversation, the two men were said to have talked about a plan to recruit Israeli nationals to carry out the assassination.
The call reportedly concluded with a proposal to seek financial support from Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to fund the alleged operation.
