“I worked with D’banj for 2 years, earned $500 only”- Mr. Real

Mr. Real, has opened up on what he describes as years of exploitation by veteran music star, D’banj. In a recent interview, the “Legbegbe” crooner revealed that all he gained from working with D’banj for two years was a mere $500. Mr. Real recounted how the self-acclaimed Kokomaster had exploited him during their professional relationship.

He lamented: “D’banj ripped me. No be say allegedly, he did. Anything wey make me forget ‘Banger’ I go leave am for my mama wey don die. You can’t be with a man for two years and the only thing you gain is $500. What kind of wickedness, selfishness is that?”

The singer also touched on his time as an ambassador for D’banj’s CREAM platform, a project that was widely promoted within the entertainment industry. According to Mr. Real, despite being the face of the brand at one point, he never received a single benefit or reward for his role. He claimed that several promises made to him were never fulfilled. Mr. Real further alleged that a car was once gifted to D’banj with instructions to pass it on to him. Shockingly, he claimed that the star parked the vehicle instead, despite being aware that he did not own a car at the time. He stated: “He knew I didn’t have a car, but he kept it. That was my reality.” It is not the first time Mr. Real is calling out the veteran entertainer. Back in 2023, he accused D’banj of failing to fulfil several financial commitments and also claimed he never received his share from the proceeds of their 2018 hit collaboration, “Issa Banger.”
