Kim Kardashian receives heat for letting daughter get dangerous hand piercing

    Published on

Kim Kardashian’s parenting skills have been criticised after she allowed her daughter North West, 12, to get a dangerous hand piercing.

People noticed that the 12-year-old had what appeared to be a dermal finger piercing on her middle finger while she and the SKIMS founder were vacationing in Rome.

This resulted in Kim being blasted as social media users pointed out how dangerous dermal piercings are.  Dermal piercings are different from regular piercings, as they “don’t have a separate entry and exit point for jewelry,” according to Healthline.

Lulu Ave, a piercing and jewelry company, also warns on their website that finger piercings “may not heal well due to the constant use of the hands and the risk of the jewelry getting snagged or bumped.”

“A dermal piercing may be a better option, but it can still reject over time,” the company warns.
