Movie star Adaeze Eluke has joined the growing outcry over a viral video showing the brutal assault of a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in Anambra State.

The video, which went viral on social media on Tuesday, August 19, depicted the disturbing moment when armed men, believed to be members of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group (also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi), stormed a corps members’ lodge and attacked several corps members, including Jennifer Edema Elohor.

The video showed Jennifer Elohor being beaten, stripped naked, and subjected to physical violence by the vigilantes, despite proving her identity with her NYSC identification card.

he vigilantes accused the corps members of being involved in internet fraud, commonly referred to as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’, and proceeded with the assault even after the corps members showed their official identification and uniforms.

In addition to the physical assault, the victims were also subjected to degrading verbal threats, including the possibility of sexual violence.
