    Police arrests 2 gunrunners, 325 ammunition, recovers 1 AK-47 magazine

    Police Tactical operatives have arrested Two gunrunners along Gusau-Wanke-Dansadau road conveying three hundred and twenty five rounds of ammunition and one magazine for AK-47.

    Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Mohammed Shehu who revealed this in a press release said this suspects includes One Emmanuel Emmanuel and his female counterpart Nana Ibrahim were arrested On 8th January, 2023 at about 2300hrs.

    SP Shehu noted that the arrest was sequel to an intelligence information received about the supply of the aforementioned exhibits from Benue State to an undisclosed bandits camp in Zamfara.

    According to the Spot search by the operatives led to the recovery of the exhibits. In the course of interrogation, the suspects confessed to have engaged in several arms supply business with bandits operating in Zamfara and other neighboring states. Effort is ongoing to apprehend their partners and charge them to court for prosecution.
