The next generation are very dynamic and intelligent but most of them do not channel their gifts through the right avenues and it’s more challenging in the teenage years. Some group of people are trying to ensure that the right platform and tools are made available for them in their trying age (teenage).
One of such platform for teenagers is coming from Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) Jesus Embassy’ s Junior Church; they are merging both the christian doctrine and entertainment to explore and reach the heart of these teens. The vehicle they are using is a talent hunt competition designed specifically for teenagers by teenagers. It’s called “Shape the Future” a competition to help shape the minds of teenagers in their own language. The competition features Music Hunt, Debate and other talents.
Speaking to the Chief Organiser and Senior Pastor of Jesus Embassy, Pastor Dr. Sola Olukoya. He said that ‘the current generation needs a firm hand in the word but also need to be creative in order to appeal to them as most of these young ones are so absolved in their own world but with the right teaching and foundation, we believe we can reach them. There’s still hope for this generation ‘.
The competition is going to hold at the premise of the Church which located at 1566 Cadastral zone E27, opposite AMAC Secretariat Apo, Abuja. Auditions have already started while the grand finale is scheduled to hold 31st August, 2025 with the winner going home with a cash prize and a recording contract.
