In a significant party leadership shift, following the resignation of Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori has assumed office as the Party’s Acting National Chairman.

New national Star reports that Senator Suraj Ajibola, APC National Secretary formally presented Dr. Ganduje’s resignation letter to the National Working Committee (NWC) during its meeting on Monday.

Recall that following Ganduje’s resignation, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, the Deputy National Chairman, was named Acting National Chairman of the NWC, in accordance with Article 14 of the party’s constitution.

This decision was made pending the time the National Executive Committee fills the position permanently.

On his assumption of office, Hon. Dalori pledged his loyalty to the party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The APC Acting National Chairman acknowledged Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s contributions and expresses gratitude for his service.

He highlighted his vision for APC, focusing on consolidation, discipline, and preparation for the future, while reaffirming support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He however tasked party members on unity, stressing the need to work together towards a common goal.
