The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani (CON), on Tuesday led a team of senior government officials, along with former Governor Mukhhtar Ramalan Yero, to Unguwan Dantsoho in Kudan Local Government Area to offer condolences to the families of the 12 individuals who were killed in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, while travelling from Zaria to attend a relative’s wedding.

During the visit, the Governor prayed for the souls of the deceased and provided support to the families, wishing them strength to cope with their losses.

He restated his commitment to ensure that justice prevails.

“I have spoken with the President, the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Governor of Plateau State about ensuring that those responsible for this heinous act face the full force of the law. To date, approximately 22 arrests have been made in connection with the incident,” the governor said.

It would be recalled that the governor had also yesterday, visited the other 12 injured victims at the 44 Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.

During the visit, the Governor pledged to construct a road from the village to Basawa and to establish a hospital to further support the area’s development.
