Bruno Fernandes Makes Huge Wage Demand As Ruben Neves Publicly Welcomes Him To Al-Hilal

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is reportedly open to a summer move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, but only if his financial demands are met.

According to Saudi publication Ariyadhiah, Fernandes is requesting a lucrative package: £25 million per season on a three-year deal, plus an additional £7 million in performance-based bonuses. However, Al-Hilal has countered with a four-year offer worth £21 million annually, without any bonus clauses—leading to a temporary standstill in negotiations.

Despite the gap in expectations, Al-Hilal is reportedly prepared to meet Manchester United’s asking price for the Portuguese midfielder should personal terms be agreed.

Adding momentum to the talks is Al-Hilal midfielder and Fernandes’ Portugal teammate, Ruben Neves, who has publicly expressed enthusiasm about a potential reunion. In an interview with A Bola, Neves praised Portugal’s talent pool and made it clear he would welcome any national team colleague at his club.

“I’d recommend any player from our national team,” Neves said. “Portugal may be small, but it produces world-class talent. I’d love to play alongside any of them at Al-Hilal.”

Fernandes, who joined Manchester United from Sporting CP in 2020 for £58 million, has become a key figure at the club, contributing 98 goals and 87 assists in 290 appearances.

United manager Ruben Amorim recently commented on Fernandes’ future, stating that the midfielder has not made a final decision but has expressed willingness to leave if the club chooses to move him on.

With Fernandes’ contract demands now public and support from a fellow Portuguese international, the next move is up to Al-Hilal as they weigh whether to meet the terms and secure one of the most high-profile signings of the transfer window.
