Tinubu authorizes Nigeria First Policy’s execution

    Published on

The Nigeria First Policy, which forbade the importation of goods from other countries, has been authorized by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This was revealed in a statement on Wednesday, according to NTA.

This entails putting the updated procurement thresholds into effect right away for ministries, departments, and agencies that gave Nigeria First priority.

According to Tinubu, the permission is predicated on Adebowale Adedokun, the BPP’s director general, recommending that it be in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to a presidential statement, “the DG, BPP, Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, FCIPS, CMILT, and ACFE will provide the details of the implementation guidelines.”

Remember that Tinubu issued an order on May 3, 2025, prohibiting the importation of products from outside Nigeria, particularly those that could be manufactured domestically.
