The military has been given marching orders by President Bola Tinubu to eradicate banditry and overall insecurity by the end of 2025.

In a widely shared video, Defense Minister Abubakar Badaru revealed this.

Badaru stated that the military will keep up its assault on bandits and other criminals in accordance with Tinubu’s directive.

According to the Minister, bandits are now evading capture and the military will not give up until they have all been apprehended.

The bandits are now evading capture, but the military won’t stop until this is over, Badaru said. By the end of this year, the president has given us the go-ahead to eradicate insecurity nationwide.

“As you can see, we are exerting pressure on all theater activities, and the Chief of Defence Staff, NSA, is working around the clock to achieve that goal.

“And it’s true that mining operations have already stopped in Zamfara, which is one of the reasons we’re meeting today to examine all of the areas where we have significant security concerns and how best to secure them.”
