Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed, the Chief Operating Officer of Kaduna Electric, has provided assurance to the Company’s customers, particularly those in tariff Bands D and E, regarding equitable power distribution in line with regulatory guidelines.

Speaking in Kaduna during a meeting with stakeholders and community leaders from Hayin Malam Bello, Rigasa, Asikolaye, Sabon Garin Tudun Wada, and Unguwar Sunusi, Mohammed reiterated Kaduna Electric’s dedication to ensuring that all customers receive the minimum hours of supply as stipulated by the Service Based Tariff (SBT) regulation.

“We are committed to fairness in all our operations and full compliance with the SBT regime. While we adhere to regulatory directives affecting customers in Bands A & B, we will not overlook those in lower Bands, such as D & E. Our goal is to elevate all customers to higher bands based on supply availability and distribution capacity,” he affirmed.

Mohammed also acknowledged the capacity constraints at the Rigasa 2x15MVA injection substation serving the communities. He assured community leaders that the company has implemented short and long-term strategies to address the issue.

Encouraging patience from the affected communities, Mohammed emphasized the company’s efforts to enhance substation capacity and resolve cable issues.

Furthermore, representatives of the communities and Kaduna Electric management have signed a formal communiqué, signaling a collaborative effort to enhance service delivery and the company’s commercial performance in the region.
