President Bola Tinubu made his way to Owo, Ondo State, on Wednesday to extend condolences to the family of the late former Governor of the state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
In addition to visiting the late governor’s family, Tinubu also paid respects to the traditional ruler of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III.
Tinubu’s arrival at the Akure Airport around 11:35 am was met with a reception by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Following his visit to Owo, Tinubu is scheduled to visit the residence of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the leader of Afenifere, in Akure.
Akeredolu, aged 67, passed away on December 26, 2023, in Germany after an extended illness and was laid to rest on February 23 in Owo.
